Volunteers / Dibs

Volunteers are a vital part of Monticello Center Court Club. The time that you volunteer helps us to keep our registration fees down from year to year, helps our events run smoothly, and gives MCCC members the opportunities to maintain and improve our program. We fully appreciate the commitment you have made to make each MCCC season a positive and enjoyable experience for our youth. Please read the volunteer requirements carefully.

Each family is required to volunteer in the 2026 / 2027 season:

• Kindergarten - 2nd Grade: 1 volunteer hour (Saturday morning program) or $25 buyout
• 3rd Grade: 2 volunteer hours (youth table and tournaments) or $50 buyout
• 4th-8th Grade: 4 volunteer hours (youth table and tournaments) or $300 buyout; 6 volunteer hour max/family

You will locate volunteer opportunities on our DIBS page and sign up through your Crossbar account. Examples of volunteer opportunities include but are not limited to:

•   Youth Table at Home Varsity Basketball Games
•  Tournament Help
• Concessions, Admissions, Merchandise, Court Supervisor
•  Fundraising

**Qualified volunteers must be capable of performing the tasks and must be 14 years of age or older.**

In the event that we need to cancel a Dibs session, scheduled volunteers will be notified by a MCCC board member. Completed Dibs hours will not be granted to a volunteer for a canceled session*.

*Exception: The cancellation takes place less than two (2) hours before the session was scheduled to begin. In such a case full hours will be granted to the volunteer.

Volunteer Deposit for the 2026 / 2027 Season

A $1 charge will be assessed to your credit card upon registration. If you fail to complete your Dibs hours by eod on Sunday, March 14, 2027, you will be charged ($25 for Kindergarten, $50 for 3rd grade, $300 4th-8th grade). 

Once you have committed to a specific date, you are expected to work those hours. You have up until 5 days before your shift to cancel your Dib. If, within 5 days of your shift, you cannot work the hours you have signed up for, YOU MUST find a replacement. If you cannot find a replacement, contact the DIBS Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible. 

If you fail to show up for a claimed shift, this is considered a “no-show.” No-shows may be billed $50 per no-show. You are responsible for making up the shift so that at the end of the season your volunteer time has been completed. 

Families who provide credit cards that are 1) unable to be charged, 2) that are returned for insufficient funds, or 3) who have not paid their no-show fees, will not be allowed to register their child to play for the following basketball season until the account has been paid in full. This includes paying any applicable bank charges.

The following positions are exempt from completing additional volunteer hours:

• Head coach - 1 per team
• Assistant coach - 1 per team
• MCCC Board Members

If you do not wish to volunteer, you may let us know by contacting the MCCC DIBS Volunteer Coordinator. Each family may buy out of their volunteer commitment at the beginning of the season.

We use a system called DIBS to sign-up for hours. In order to see available hours, you will have to log in to the site with the username you created when you signed up your child. 

After you log in, click on the "Dibs" tab up top. All of the available volunteer opportunities will be listed, as well as your progress towards your commitment. DIBS opportunities will be added as soon as events are set and scheduled. Once posted, the DIBS are first come first serve. We will try and notify all families of available opportunities through Email or Social Media at the time of posting.
